500 Lines

These two drawings stemmed from an undergrad assignment where I was to produce a drawing with at least 500 lines. In the first drawing, I simply executed 500 lines in succession, creating a type of “bar code” image. In the second drawing I have marked 500 lines on top of each other in the center of the paper. This series provides two conceptually and visually simple images that are both parallel yet variant of the same idea.
